Abstract
Jackie Speier, Congresswoman for the 14th Congressional District, with a public service career spanning three decades, will deliver Golden Gate University School of Law’s 2014 Commencement address at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco on May 15, at 11:00 a.m. Congresswoman Speier has more than 29 years of representative public service, and has been a fierce advocate for veterans, the prevention of gun violence, and in 2012 was named among Newsweek’s “150 fearless women” in the world.
Additionally, Golden Gate University President Dan Angel will present Paul W. Vince (JD 94) with an honorary Doctor of Laws degree at the ceremony.
