Abstract

Golden Gate University School of Law (GGU Law) will name its ceremonial courtroom after its alumna The Honorable Lee D. Baxter (JD 74, LLD 08), Judge (Retired), Superior Court, City and County of San Francisco, and member of the Golden Gate University Board of Trustees, in recognition of a $1-million transformative gift to the law school.

"Golden Gate University School of Law provided for me the means to a wonderfully satisfying and successful legal career," said Honorable Baxter. "I am forever grateful."

Judge Baxter's generous donation will help support GGU Law's nationally recognized litigation program, as well as programs that support student engagement and professional development.

"We deeply appreciate Judge Baxter's generosity and her consistent support of the School of Law. Her gift will help us enhance our ability to support the professional success of our students and graduates -- our top priority," said GGU Law Dean, Rachel Van Cleave.
